COBRA PREMIUMS
I work in the Travel/Transportation area and have worked for over 30yrs and at one time for 16yrs after I was laid off on Dec 2003, I had Cobra that year and was paying over 800 dollars and worked again in 2004 for Air Malta and was laid off May 2005, Air Malta did not renew contract with US representation. I am told my cobra will be a little over 700 dollars a month and my unemployment to tide me over will be a little over 200 a week. Is there a program to drop my cobra premuims or help me with them. I just thought I should ask, my husband is self employed and has no insurance and my son still in school is under 20 yrs old.
