The COBRA regulations allow companies to deny COBRA coverage because the termination was for "Gross Misconduct". The Dept of Labor has never defined what that means, nor do I think they will. It is very open to interpretation, so most companies tread very carefully. In my opinion, the reason for your termination would need to be very severe before COBRA should be denied.
