I had an individual policy with BCBS of Georgia. Then changed jobs which paid my insurance. Then, not knowing BCBS would not cover me again, I took a job with no benefits again. Now, BCBS won't cover me again, nor will anyone else. Reasons returned are "blood pressure and weight". I am very overweight and have BP under control, and it was never dangerously high, but the main thing is...I am the same as I always was. I was accepted before, did not put in extraordinary claims or anything. The only difference is, I'm now 51, and was 46 when I had individual coverage before. WHAT can I do? I would pay any amount! I make too much for any type of aid and I'm too young for Medicaid or any retirement benefits---can't even get discount on prescriptions at WALMART! Help me, please, I'm scared to death...literally.
