Your company would have to have had at least 20 employees for more than 50% of the weeks last calendar year for them to qualify for COBRA. It sounds like they might not have been that big. Depending upon your state, you might also be eligible for a mini-cobra or other continuation product. I would call the insurance company and ask them if you have any continuation options. I would also call the company and ask why you paid for July, if your coverage stopped June 30th. That doesn't sound right. Good luck.
