Lost mail, cancelled coverage, CobraServ 9mos preg
Mailed two months payment to CobraServ/Ceridian 7/15 as I have for nearly a year, within the grace period for July. They always took a couple weeks to clear and show payments in prior months. Paranoid I also sent a payment around the 25th. My first check had not cleared when I arrived home from having a baby via c-section. I have HUSKY state coverage that will pay for the birth, so I'm not clear whether to go through the expense of an injunction for "mailbox" law. I do have the carbon of the checks, but neither were cleared or returned. Individual plans are $250 more per month with $2k deductibles or $420 more for a full HMO like what we had! I'd have 9 mos left, plus 18 more for the baby if it's a qualifying event. Stressed new Mom.
