Hi Rick, unless the ex-spouses employer is not big enough to qualify for COBRA, then yes, I believe you should probably be sent COBRA paperwork, as you were dropped in anticipation of a divorce (I assume), which would be a qualifying event. Have you called the plan administrator to check with them to make sure they know that that is why she dropped you? If she didn't tell them why she was dropping you, then they might not realize that it was a COBRA event.
