Cobra Payment
I resigned my position with a non profit company 1/1/2005. I paid Cobra premiums for Jan and Feb 05. My circumstances changed and I was unable could not continue my coverage. I made no further payment, but my former employer continued to pay the insurance premiums. My coverage is still active and they are trying to collect these past premiums from me. Am I legally obligated to pay them? The company and my residence are in California if that makes any difference.
