Can my employer terminate my cobra?
i recently quit my job on 8.26. My company failed to notify the insurance company of my termination and paid for my next month of insurance. They provided me with my cobra papers and I filled them out but now they are requesting I pay them the amount of my premium because they paid it. Do i owe them this money or is it their responsibility to notify the insurance company of my termination? They are also threatening to cancel my Cobra benefits unless I pay this money to them?? Do they have the right to do this??????
