Oriecat, this is not totally true. If you use insurance and you have not paid the premium for that insurance, you are responsible for any claim that you incur during that timeframe. If you have not falsely used the insurance to file a claim then you are not responsible for the premiums....C: No, you are not obligated to pay them. The employer should have cancelled your coverage as soon as you were more than 30 days late with a payment. If they didn't do it and can't get the premiums back from the carrier, then it is their problem.
