no maternity coverage
I left my job in June 04. I elected not to continue my health care under COBRA b/c my husband and I purchased health insurance through the National Assoc of the Self Employed (through Megalife). We specifically told the broker we wanted maternity benefits but now find out we have none. Apparently she didn't include them and we didn't see that they were left out during the purchase period. Even if we had the benefits, I wouldn't meet the waiting period and was told I have a "preexisting condition"--my current pregnancy. So, is there any way to opt back into COBRA coverage from my former employer? I need help.
