Comments: My COBRA coverage terminates in March of 2005 after 18 months of coverage. I am trying to get my husband's employer to allow me to join
their plan. I want to know what my course of action is if they should want to deny me for a preexisting condition(Crohn's Disease). Are they not
obligated under HIPAA to accept me since I have exhausted my COBRA benefits? Are they obligated to waive the preexisting clause under these circumstances?
Thank You.
