Kaia:

Well you are out of the enrollment period for your COBRA if it was 5 months ago, you need a good employment attorney, and get a free consultation.

If you are healthy, COBRA may not be the cheapest way to go. Get
your own health insurance with a lower premium.

Sincerely,

Craig

: I recently decided not to file for cobra benefits when I quit my former job and to wait it out until my new employer's benefits would take effect. In my contract for my new job, my employer mentioned that health insurance would be provided after 90 consecutive days of employment with the company. I ended up getting fire witout just cause and never received my benefits after working there for 5 months. Is the employer in violation of providing me with my health insurance? Is there some type of legal action I can pursue?
