I was 62 and 1/2 when I was laid off and told by my employer that I would receive 18 months of COBRA coverage before it automatically ended. I thought I would have to get a more expensive individual policy in May 2003 for 12 months, to provide health coverage to age 65.
I have been unable to confirm that I should qualify for continuation COBRA coverage until at least age 65, or a total of 30 months. Is there any information available that I can provide to my former employer to authenticate that claim?
