Employee was laid off Jan 6. Coverage for ins ended Jan 31, 2003. Has decided today to elect coverage but would like to skip month of Feb and have Cobra become effective as of March 1st. Is this allowed?
"A waiver of coverage may be revoked by or on behalf of a qualified beneficiary prior to the end of the election period. A beneficiary may then reinstate coverage. Then, the plan need only provide continuation coverage beginning the date the waiver is revoked"
