I am the sole employer and employee of a one-person group HMO with Humana in Florida. I am self-employed, but considering retiring to care for my sick wife (on Medicare) and hopefully move to another state. So I would have to terminate my present group coverage and find new health insurance. I am 62 years old with some pre-existing health conditions (not heart or cancer)that are controlled with meds. I have been told my independent insurance agents that I would not be medically underwritten and that I needed some kind of guaranteed issue. What options do I have for new health coverage? What, if any, government health programs would I qualify for. I feel stuck and frustrated. All help is appreciated. Thanks, Bob
