COBRA cannot continue if there is no plan to be enrolled in. I don't know if you become a creditor of the company. Did they forward all your premium payments to the health insurance carrier?
You might become a creditor of the company. Can you contact the insurance company and ask them about a conversion policy or have the money applied to HIPAA?
If you are healthy, COBRA may not be the cheapest way to go. Get
your own health insurance with a lower premium.

: I left my employer in June of 2002 and signed up for Cobra insurance. I payed all my premiums on time and was even 6 months ahead. I was eligible until January 2004. Unbenounced to me the company I worked for went bankrupt and my policy was canceled. Can cobra continue if the company no longer exsits???
