Your welcome. It depends on the state you are domicilied or a resident of. Mini COBRA laws will vary. Some states even have gauranteed issue laws.
In regards to COBRA, you can ask your company if they have a conversion policy (they aren't required to have one), or get their HIPAA rates. They have to make HIPAA rates available to you by law, as long as they offer group health insurance.
However, the price can be up to 150% of the already steep COBRA rates. Just press the insurer and don't let them discourage you from getting a HIPAA policy, and shop around.
As you know, HIV is an expensive adventure, and they are not going to want to insure you, even though they really have to, as long as you enroll properly and pay your premiums on time.
