Does anyone know how soon I could lose my COBRA insurance if my employer just filed Chapter 11? They stated that they plan to keep operations running through June (but NO comment if that means they will continue group health ins).
If they did discontinue group health in the next say, 15 days, does my insurance expire immediately? Is there a grace period? I'm due with my first child in 4 weeks and needless to say, my former employer's actions today do not ease my mind (nor does reading confusing COBRA documentation that won't answer my question).
