When I received my COBRA notice from my former employer it did not include an annual premium amount. I made my election to take the coverage within the 60 days allowed. 45 days later I received 4 monthly invoices, three that were considered past due and one that they say is due on the 1st but if I use the 30 days allowed, would have to be paid by the end of the current month.
Question 1 - Am I really obligated to pay the past due invoices upon receipt? No Terms?
Question 2 - The company informed me today (26th) that they had sent in their current month payment and I would not be covered for this month. Are they not obligated to give me notice when coverage will be terminated? Don't I get 30 days to pay the current month?
