My fiancee has Cobra that expires June 15, 2003 after 18 months. She is currently receiving treatment/diagnosis for an illness. She has a new job but the insurance doesn't kick in until July 1, 2003.

Is there anyway to extend Cobra benefits for 15 days, since she is already receiving treatment? We don't want to halt treatment/dianosis for 15 days.

Isn't there a law that allows her to keep Cobra past 18 months for existing illness?
