After leaving my previous job almost a year ago, I elected to continue my dental coverage for myself and my family.
On January 1, 2003, my COBRA dental insurance was canceled due to an internal error by my former employers management. I had been paying my premiums all along.
As it turns out, the dental plan was interrupted for 20-30 days and a new plan replaced the old, except I was not notified.
As I read the rules for continued COBRA coverage, my insurance may terminate only if the employer fully drops the insurance from the plan and this was not the case.
What should have happened?
