That depends on if he notifies the plan administrator without 60 days of the event.

The problem is, if he gets upset at you down the road, he could cancel your health insurance you might not qualify for the COBRA, since you did not notify the benefits dept within 60 days.

If you have no or only minor pre existing conditions, get quotes for major medical coverage, it might be a lot less than COBRA.

: as of the date of a divorce, can my (soon to be ex-) husband keep me on his insurance coverage, without switching me over to cobra, for a period of time after the divorce is final?
