Are you on the new health plan, and if so, notify the health benefits administrator.
If you didn't participate in the new plan at least one full day, you may not be eligible for COBRA continuation insurance.
If you have no or only minor pre existing conditions, get quotes for major medical coverage, it might be a lot less than COBRA.

: My husband elected to leave one company to work for another in December 2002. On April 12, 2003 our divorce was finalized. He has signed up for a different health coverage at his new company, however all the paperwork was completed after the divorce.
