I was layed off and recieved a letter that my insurance would expire on 6/30. I was given the cobra information but the letter states I have 10 days to make a choice failure to do so will terminate your right to continue coverage. I thought the law states you have up to 60 days to decide? I ma interviewing for new jobs and hopefully will get new insurance. i would hate to have to pay the $1000 premium and not need to?

What is the law?

Can you ride it out 30 days?

Thanks
