I am in the same position and I'm pregnant. How do I sign up when I move/ who do I contact?

: Beeca:

: You should get a certificate of coverage from your present carrier, so that you would be insurable in another state, if you have pre existing conditions. Just be sure to sign up within 61 days of ending your current health insurance.

: Since you are leaving your COBRA coverage area, you won't be able to "transfer your COBRA" per se.

: If you don't have a medical history, consider a private medical policy, it might be a lot cheaper than COBRA.

: : I will be resigning from my current job and moving to another state. My current company offers COBRA but I am moving to a state not covered by my current insurance. Is that insurance transferrable to another company which offers similar coverage? Or do I simply have to
: : purchase my own insurance until I find another job? Thanks.
