It depends on if the benefits were bundled or not. If core and non-core benefits are offered separately (unbundled), your former employers is required to give (qualified beneficiaries including you) the option of enrolling in each plan independently.

If the plan was bundled, qualified beneficiaries have to be offered a choice of continuing that bundled coverage.

Did you pay with one check for health, life and disability or were their seperate entries on your paycheck?

: My Company Laid me off. I elected for COBRA, however I have not recieved a clear answer as to whether the Life and Disability Insurance that my employer provided me is still valid.
