COBRA eligibility is not tied to length of employment, it is related to whether you are covered on the group health plan the day before the qualifying event. If your company offers insurance coverage as of the first day of employment, and you leave on the second day, then you could be eligible for COBRA, if the company is big enough to be required to offer it.
