My father has been paying $340 a month to have the old insurance policy continue for me while in school. This policy included dental, vision and medical. However, this is the increased price when my father's company switched plan administrators in January.
We got a letter to notify us of the change in administrators and that my plan would continue through the new administrator. EVER SINCE THIS CHANGE, which we accepted (including the increased price). I cannot get the insurance company/administrator to pay for anything. They have denied all doctor's visit bills and everytime I go to fill a prescription, the insurance has been cancelled and I have to call to have them reinstate it.
NOW, they are denying that I am paying for dental insurance. I had dental with the old administrator. We had to fill out no new paperwork when the administrators were switched, we only had to pay more.
Everytime I talk to either the insurance company, the administrator or my father's company, I get a different answer for the new occuring problems. No one seems to be willing to correct the problems.
What can I do. Nothing, except the prescriptions have been paid SINCE JANUARY. And even, one of my doctor's visit bills is higher than the deductible I am required to pay and they won't even pay the amount over the deductible.
WHAT TO DO? I only need the coverage for 6 more months and am afraid that this will linger until the end and I will still owe the amounts that I am not required to pay.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Thank you.
