I never got notification of cobra (it's been 2 mths) and just called my company and they are sending it now. I am also sick with a sinus infection that won't go away and would like to get to a doctor as soon as possible. My question is when I get notification and sign up, when do the benefits start? Am I covered now? And will I be required to pay for the last 2 months? Because it seems odd that companies are given 45 days to send you the info, but they end your insurance in 2 weeks?
