What does COBRA law say about dental coverage when ther is a waiting period on new employer coverage. In other words I had been paying Cobra or two months (health and dental). At two months I became eligible for health benefits from my new employer and dropped my health, but continued to pay COBRA dental. I did this because my wife was in the middle of ongoing work and the new insurance has a six month waiting period to become eligible for benefits. My new insurance has a coordination of benefits clause, but I am running into problems. What does COBRA law say about this type of situation? Also, the local COBRA office has no record of my family on file. IS it legal for my previous employer to be charging me as if I am collecting COBRA without having registered me with COBRA?
