Your hesitation is not unfounded, many people have sticker shock when they see the COBRA premiums.

You should have gotten the COBRA information when you first joined the plan. Check in your SPD, or summary plan description. You might also ask someone else who's left the company how much they pay. Of contact the agent that sold the company the policy.

: I live in Texas and I am 4 mos. pregnant. My job has made changes that I cannot live with. I've considered quitting but my employer will not give me the Cobra premium amount per month if I quit. I fear that this amount may be more than I can afford and hesitate to resign until I know. Can you help me?
