I'm confused. I was terminated in 8/8/03, and my last paycheck, for the period from 8/2/03 to 8/15/03 states that I did pay for benefits for August. Yet, the HR woman at my old job, claims that I'm immediately placed on COBRA. Shouldn't COBRA have begun,effectively, Midnight, 9/1/03?
