You didn't say what state you are in, but many have high risk pools you may qualify for. Some like CA have the AIM program for expectant mothers with middle income.
You will have to contact your state to find out more, but no private insurance company is going to pay for a pre existing condition like that,
and ALL applications ask for the date of her last period and if there are any medical conditions you anticipate being treated.
So you would be denied outright. Also don't be tempted with the medical discount cards floating around thesedays that propose big savings when you are only paying $29.99 a month! If they really covered anything substantial, I would be selling them like hotcakes myself.

: My wife is expecting and due in october. I already have insurance from my employer which is quite reasonable. Unfortunately my employer is changing the insurance company and new health benefits are nothing but expense and expense. I so far reluctant to enroll for this new plan.
