This has happened to me in the past. Your administrator has yet to send over the information to your insurance company. You policy is cancelled until it receives the notice from the COBRA admin. Call the admin first, or if you have a decent insurance company, call them and they will resolve it while you are on the phone. I got fixed the same day with one call.
