I am currently covered by my company, Aetna PPO. My wife is due with our first baby in 5 weeks. I will be accepting a Job, different company, this week. Is there an extended amount of time my current employer will maintain my coverage? Are they required to or will my insurance end on the day I leave?
My new company will begin coverage (Aetna PPO again)after 30 days or the 1st of the month. Will I need to purchase a COBRA for the insurance gap? What should I look to do?
