If Veteran's Affairs is a federal government position, COBRA will not apply to you. That might still be the dept of health & human services.

Major medical insurance may be cheaper on your own if you have no or minor pre existing conditions.

: I have quit working for the Veteran's Affairs and am hoping I find a job, but if not Am I eligible for Cobra Insurance and should the VAMC have offered it to me when I "checked-out" with Human Resources?
