Since you moved I don't think HIPAA would be an alternative, but you can ask.

Major medical insurance may be cheaper on your own if you have no or minor pre existing conditions.

: We moved out of state for jobs 7 years ago and due to lay offs last year, we returned home to GA. We have been on Cobra, but it is going to expire. Virginia BC/BS says since we moved they don't have a conversion policy. My husband has pre-existing conditions and we have to have converage for further surgeries.
: Does anyone know how we can get coverage with NO Pre-existing Conditions?
