I know that pregnancy can not be treated as a pre-existing condition when a woman changes from a group insurance plan to another group insurance plan. However, what if a woman is pregnant and changes from COBRA insurance coverage to a group insurance plan (i.e., she is covered by COBRA and then she or her husband gets a new job that offers group insurance coverage)? Does the new insurance company have the right to treat the pregnancy as a pre-existing condition?
