1)If a person, under age 65, is presently on COBRA and becomes eligible for health insurance under their new employer's group health plan, are they required to drop the COBRA coverage and accept the new employer sponsored plan? Would the answer be different if the employer plan was non-contributory?

2)Certain union employees are covered by the employer's group health plan. The employer files for chapter 11 bankruptcy, and the judge vacates the union contract. Are the union employees eligible for COBRA?
