I am a teacher in a district with way more than twenty employees. Our new school year begins August 2. My husband is in the military, but I do not use his insurance; I use Aetna, which is offered through my school district. I am pregnant and due in October so I do not want to return to teaching in August (or ever, for that matter). My question is, will I be eligible for COBRA during August, September, and October? I don't want to deliver on base and would like to continue using my current doctor throughout the pregnancy and birth. Does my military insurance or pregnancy exclude me from Cobra?
