Only if you notify the COBRA police.
But technically you wouldn't qualify for COBRA anymore unless the new plan did not cover pre existing conditions.

: I am currently covered under COBRA and very happy with my former employer's insurance plan. I have recently found a job with a company that offers coverage that is not as good as the one under COBRA. Can I decline coverage with my new employer and continue COBRA until my 18 month term is over? Otherwise does my change in employment status disqualify me from the COBRA plan?
