Please help or direct me to someone who can help. My son was in a serious car accident on 10/26/03. Called CobraServ; was told he was ineligible;sent Cobra Election Form anyway; postmarked 10/27/03 from place of employment. Found paperwork stating he had until 10/30/03 to elect Cobra coverage. Called Cobraserv, was told as long as the form was postmarked by 10/30 and verified, there should be no problem. Cobra Benefits were denied--envelope had postmark of 10/27/03, but showed the post office received it on 11/3/03. Is this right? I did what I was suppose to do to elect Cobra coverage on my son's behalf. Do I have any recourse?
