If I'm following you correctly, you want to quit so you can be on COBRA, thereby hoping to keep your insurance when the company stops their insurance 1/1/04? It doesn't work that way. Once the company ceases to offer insurance, the COBRA coverage would also end. COBRA is not outside of the group health plan, it is the same coverage. Once the group health plan ceases, there will be no COBRA for you to be on.
