My company, which employs less than 20 employees (making us ineligible for COBRA), terminated two employees in a RIF situation. Both termatinated employees were offered one month of COBRA paid by the company as part of their severance package. Subsequently, we learned that the company is not "subject to COBRA" and cannot offer coverage.
We are interested in WV's "mini-COBRA" regulation but can't seem to find any info on it. Anybody know anything about this issue?
