Comments: Circumstances: I am 68 years old, narried (wife is 62), employeed with a company with over 100 employees, and I am currently enrolled in a health plan covering employee & spouse(the company pays the employee portion and I pay the spouse portion). I am enrolled in Medicare Part A. I will retire at the end of Jan. 2004. During Jan., I will enroll in Medicare Part B.
Question: When I retire my wife can take COBRA benefits for 3 years under my current health plan. What will the cost be? Total cost as employee - currently $242.86/mo? OR Total cost as employee & spouse - currently $528.06/mo?
