When I was terminated from my job in April of 2002, the chance to continue my Health/Dental coverage through Cobra was offered to me. I opted for the dental coverage only. I was billed for the premiums each month, and I paid them, in a timely manner for 14 months. During this time I needed dental work done. My provider was confident that the work would be covered, and informed me of what amount I would be responsible for paying, after my insurance paid their portion. I agreed, and it was done. Claims were submitted, but no response. I sent 3 or 4 letters to ADP, explaining the situation. Twice I received phone calls saying that my previous employer was contacted and my eligibility was confirmed and it would be taken care of. Still nothing. Finally an actual EOB was sent to my provider stating that the work was not covered under my primary plan, and that my secondary insurance was being billed. What??? I have no secondary insurance that I know of. That was about 6 months ago, or more, and again, haven't heard a word. During the past 8 or 9 months a family crisis has kept me very distracted, and I've not been pursuing this matter as I normally would have. But I am again trying to get to the bottom of this mess. Thank-you.
