In 2001 my husband was downsized from the company and we opted for COBRA and I continued as his dependent. On 11/22/03, he was downsized from his employer. I retired at age 64 in Nov. 2001. We again opted for COBRA coverage. I cannot begin to tell you how much difficulty I have had getting us enrolled with COBRASERV, the processing company of our COBRA plan. I have been playing phone tag for 2 months between COBRASERV, the employer, ECKERD HEALTH SVCS and the INSURANCE CO, especially EHS. None of them have ever mentioned my retirement status. Could this be causing any problems for me? I originally chose MEDICARE PART A only, but am now in the process of enrolling in PART B as well.
