Sirs, My ex-wife provided me with medical coverage under her employers plan for 3 years and suddenly, without notice, droped me from her company plan in July of 2003. She then back dated the date of our divorce 18 months to January 2002. The actual divorce date is January 2000. She admits that she has lied to her conmpany and left me with no health coverage and by back dating, no chance for COBRA coverage. I have since then been able to secure health coverage with Kaiser. Have my rights been violated? Do I have legal recourse? Is she subject to penalty? This seems very wrong and I would like to know where I stand legally. Sincerely, Jeff Hayes
