I'm the benefits administrator where I work. A former employee (and subsequently his wife), enrolled in COBRA, are openly hostile. Since I'm the one who is having to deal with them directly in processing their monthly payments, etc., I want to know if there are any options open to us as the employer for dealing with this kind of problem. Are there any rules or laws governing disgruntled former employees on COBRA?
