I have been paying for Cobra coverage since June of 2003. Have 10 more months and the place I used to work for cancelled my coverage to change providers. That was in November and it is now almost March. I have had cancel 4 different appointments and have had to pay for my perscriptions full price. They said they can reenstate my policy for approximately $1200.00 plus my March payment would be due soon. Is this legal? Can they make me pay for months of no coverage to continue in Cobra? I need my insurance for at least another 8 months. Any info you could supply would help. Thank you.
